Seller terms
Version 2026-11-01
These terms apply to every business that sells through a Plevar shop (“you”, the seller). By opening or running a Plevar shop, you agree to them.
1. What Plevar does
- Plevar provides shop software: your shop page, your product list, the cart, and the order message that reaches you on WhatsApp, together with the business tools in the Plevar app.
- Plevar does not sell, buy or deliver anything in your shop.
2. You are the seller
- You sell the products in your shop. Each sale is between you and your buyer.
- You own the relationship with your buyers.
- You are responsible for your products being legal, safe and as described.
3. Honest selling
- Describe every product honestly: its name, photos, price, condition and what is included.
- Make no claim you cannot back, for example “original”, “guaranteed”, “fast delivery” or “easy returns”.
- Show only real reviews and real testimonials. Never write, buy or copy them.
- Use no fake urgency or scarcity: no false countdowns, and no “only 2 left” unless it is true.
4. Delivery, refunds and complaints
- You choose where you deliver and how long it takes. Meet the delivery times you show in your shop.
- You handle refunds, returns, exchanges and complaints with your buyers, as Nigerian consumer law requires.
- Plevar does not settle disputes between you and a buyer, but may act on a report (section 8).
5. Payments
- Buyers pay you directly, by bank transfer to the account you enter, or in another way you agree.
- Plevar is not a party to the sale. Plevar does not receive, hold or pass on any buyer's money, and cannot refund a buyer.
6. Buyers' personal data
- When a buyer orders, their name, phone number and delivery address reach you on WhatsApp. You are responsible for that data under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
- Use it only to complete and support the order, unless the buyer has opted in to marketing. Keep it secure, share it only with whoever needs it for the order (such as your rider), and delete it when you no longer need it.
- Send marketing only to buyers who opted in, give a way to stop in every message, and stop when asked.
7. Prohibited and restricted items
Follow the Prohibited items list. Never list a prohibited item. List a restricted item only once you hold the licence or registration the law requires.
8. Suspending or switching off a shop
- Plevar may hide a product, or suspend or switch off your shop, if you break these terms or the law, or after a valid report (for example a prohibited item, a misleading listing, or orders paid for and not delivered).
- Plevar may act without notice where needed. Where it is safe and lawful, we will tell you why.
9. Fees
Your fees are those of your Plevar plan.
10. Liability
- You are responsible for your products, your sales, your deliveries and your dealings with buyers.
- Where the law allows, Plevar's total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid Plevar in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. We will tell you in the Plevar app before a change takes effect. Each version is dated at the top of this page. If you keep using Plevar after a change takes effect, the new version applies.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
